Laura Bentz

As the firm’s Senior Vice President of Client Engagement, Laura spearheads efforts to develop and build relationships with leaders and organizations seeking to raise visibility, increase awareness, enhance brands and protect reputations by leveraging strategic communications campaigns during times of growth, transition, change and crisis.  An energetic professional with a keen sense of evolving business landscapes, Laura comes to The LAKPR Group with more than a decade of experience in business development and sales, meeting clients’ communications needs and amplifying their messaging where — and to whom — it matters most.

Over the course of her career, Laura has worked with clients in an array of industries, such as healthcare and biotech, software technology, financial services and education, among others. Prior to joining LAK, she was the Director of Business Development at Keybridge Communications, a public relations firm that specializes in op-eds, earned media campaigns, issues advocacy and writing.  There, she handled the entire lifecycle of the business generation process and played a key role in developing growth strategies for the firm.

Before that, she was a publicist for a major publishing house, where she represented authors, including two New York Times Best Sellers, and secured print and broadcast media tours for multiple book launches.

Laura is a proud alum of Miami University, where she studied mass communication. After an internship with ABC News, she headed back to DC after graduation to begin her career. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. In her spare time, Laura pitches in at her brother’s restaurant, cheers on her mostly under-performing sports teams, and spends time biking and trail running — anything to get outdoors!
