Sharon creates and executes communications strategies that raise the profiles and protect the reputations of a diverse array of organizations. Her clients have included leading healthcare companies and associations, regional and national law firms, boutique and global consulting firms, private equity-backed portfolio companies, not-for-profit and advocacy groups, internationally ranked business schools, consumer brands, architecture firms as well as technology companies, among others.
With a razor-sharp focus on bottom-line objectives, she works closely with clients to develop communications campaigns to advance thought leadership and announce news designed to reach target audiences and stakeholder groups. She brings a unique talent for pitching hard-to-place stories, regularly securing coverage in the world’s most influential print, online and broadcast outlets, as well as top industry-focused publications and social media platforms.
A talented writer, Sharon frequently ghostwrites op-eds, contributed articles, social media, web site and marketing content as well as internal communications on a range of complex topics. With the ability to synthesize clients’ insights and perspectives, threading them with current news and trends, she serves as a thought leadership engine, consistently producing collateral for publicity and marketing purposes.
Prior to joining The LAKPR Group, Sharon was a senior vice president at LAK Public Relations, which she joined in 2011. Before that, she was with an independent public relations firm focused on healthcare, higher education and philanthropy.
A graduate of Smith College, Sharon has served as a social media strategist for the Smith College Club of New York City.
